WILLOW

Dear Readers of Clarte,

The week has almost ended and its about time to turn the bend into June. The weather is hot in Arizona and it's time to take little walks instead of long ones. My photos from today used all natural light, which is my favorite because there are no added features to be confused by with which is reality. Authentic photos give off a warm light that hits just right against the lens. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

xoxo,
Mandy

TO MAKE A NEW

Dear Readers,

I just returned from a very special wedding...my sister's. She reminds me how special family is and those without, can find a similar comfort in friends. Congratulations to Jessi and Adam! A testimony of the true love and respect.

I wanted to share with you a little day project I've been working on for a lovely little girl that is getting baptized soon. If you look hard enough, think long enough, and dream big enough...old things can be made a new. That's exactly what I did with this project.

Have a lovely day!

1. a pot and tea cup roses (Trader Joes carries them for $1.99)
2. materials: white paint, paint brush, fabric, hot glue gun, glue stick
3. Paint the top of the pot. Use the hot glue gun on the top lining and bottom hole of the pot to keep the fabric steady. Pull tight. Make sure the bottom hole of the pot is still exposed for drainage.
4. Finish with a bow

*the bow and fabric surrounding the pot are all re-used clothing

JONT IN JEROME

Hello,

I hope you had a great weekend! It's now the time to get the lunch sacks ready and the typing fingers stretched for a Monday back in the office. I had a very enjoyable weekend assisting with a music video for Nick's song, Lonely Island, taking my friend Heidi to Jerome, and remembering my lovely mom all day on Mother's day since I live far from her..and really miss her.

While Heidi and I were in Jerome Saturday I realized almost everything built, from nature or man made, is very detailed. People take great importance in the "art" of their life. The color of their home, the intricately cut molding, the placement of the plants, the chimes hanging all over the porches. A home is built as almost a serene spot of relaxation. I believe this needing to be true for many people. I hope to someday be the person that goes into a house and helps people find that history, enrichment, peace in their home. Heidi laughed at me because I got excited to see clothes hanging outside and I said "I can't wait until someday I can hang my clothes outside like that". "You have interesting goals for your life", she said. Yes I do...
