IT'S A STAY-CATION!

Happy Friday!
Now that I'm all set up to blog again I wanted to share with you some pictures of our stay-cation in Prescott AZ. I find the times that I get the most out of an experience is when it's unexpected. It's amazing how we are given little glimpses of opportunity to make the best out of a situation and it's a choice to take it or let it pass on by. An opportunity came unplanned when I went to pick up Nick in Prescott AZ after he just got back from his tour. Last minute, we decided to stay in the little simple livin' treasure of a town while spending time with friends in the area. Nick and I broke all the rules of eating healthy and caring about our spending habits while we were there. I think it's okay to do that when you're on a stay-cation, don't you? We ate pizza at Billys (the best in town, we were told), had homemade ice cream right after, and stayed at our friends beautiful "tree house". They call it a tree house because it's up high in the hills. Later that night, after great conversation and a dinner date with our friends, we went to the movie "Jobs." Besides the fact that I really liked the movie and company of my fiancé, we paid regular price for leather recliner seats in a brand new movie theater and had the best friendly service! Great way to end the first night of our stay-cation!

THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGING

I got a new computer! I feel so awful for neglecting my blog and all my readers why my computer has been out of commission.  I recently got a ASUS notebook in the mail and it's up and running! Back to blogging. I wanted to keep this post simple and sweet and wish all of you a relaxing rest of the week!  I will be back to posting:)

TIME TESTED BEAUTY TIPS

Hello my friends!

I apologize for not paying as much attention to my blog lately.  I recently spilled water on my laptop and it no longer works. Every four years, or so, that usually happens. My recommendation is learn from your first mistakes... in this circumstance I didn't. lol Anyways, life goes on and now it's time for a new computer:).
In the past month I have been seeing a lot of posters and mention of Audrey Hepburn in conversation. I didn't know much about her so I went to the library and bookstore to pick up some information about her life. To my discovery she was a woman that came from poverty, had a father that paid little attention to her, went through famine, and became a spokeswoman for starving children (UNICEF).  That is not the Audrey Hepburn I grew up knowing as a beautiful and poised actress who had everything. I guess you can't judge a book by it's cover, as they say. Audrey had a lot and gave a lot. What a wonderful example she was to others. Along with Audrey, I am very inspired by the woman in my own life. From all my aunts, grandmas, sisters, mother, and all other moms out there. To me, woman are strong warriors. They keep the family glue together, offer a shoulder to cry on, and a girlfriend to call with good news. Sending my love to all mothers.

SHADES OF GREEN

I'm a little behind on my blog for all of you who have been reading. Which, by the way, I really feel honored for your glances from time to time :). This past week I was on vacation visiting family and friends from my hometown and had an amazing time.
