OCTOBER STROLL IN ENCANTO

Hello Everyone:)

We took a walk tonight in Encanto and had a great time seeing the cute kids dressed in their Halloween costumes. I think the voted most popular costume this year goes to the princess. There were lovely princesses everywhere and their parents were holding their little hands from one house to the next. In the many years of trick-or-treating I did as a youngster I have never seen so many children in one spot as I have tonight! To our surprise there was an entire street in the neighborhood giving out free books, separated according to age. What a great idea! Maybe the kids wouldn't agree with me, but they sure looked like they were having a good time picking them out. Have a wonderful weekend! Sending my love. xoxo Mandy

TIME FLIES

Nicks 29th birthday at Gallo Blanco Café! It's so much fun to spend time with family and friends. This day was none other than one well remembered!

 A year can go by so fast and it's time for round two of Nick's BIG 3-0! Glad you're a part of it at the Wrigley Mansion. If you've never been there, I would highly recommend a special date night there with your sweetheart. It's the little things you do for her that she'll remember:)

 

 

 

 

 

 

My first Bon Iver concert in Tucson AZ. What a fun night we had! Sometimes when you feel like a break from usual, take a vacation for the evening. In Tucson is where we found a great little town that one can't forget...well we didn't.

the FLOWER FARM

Fall Greetings!

I love the fall and living in Arizona means the air is a little crisper alongside the chillfull mornings. I wanted to share a little love from a blog that I like reading called SAIPUA (all pictures are below). It's about a young woman and her passion for flowers and the farm her and her husband share. I have really come to appreciate flowers more and more. When I look really close at a rose I just can't wrap my head around how much detail is in the petals and how in the world that beautiful colorful flower came from a tiny seed?! The next time you see a rose, look at it really closely. My hope is, in that moment, you may see a beauty you haven't quit seen like this before.

TAKE A STROLL WITH ME

Hello:)
It' been a great weekend and I'm just as excited to see what's to come in the next one!!This past Friday, after work, I took my usual walk and this time I wanted to take you with me. I posted some pictures and not one of the photos have been edited. You can really see the beauty Arizona has to offer and I am thankful to be a part of it. When I go on my evening strolls nature calls my attention and, for me, it's important to seek out why it's there. You can find meaning in almost anything. Everyone's interpretation of the exact same situation differs based upon their own experiences. Let's take a walk in my neighborhood and I'll show you what I am talking about..

the flower is honest when the "light shines" on it, you can see right through, it's transparent for everyone to see 

the house lacks no attention to detail and it's colors are worth stopping for

I've gone right by these flowers a dozen times and didn't notice them until I was really looking. They're so pretty

every good tree bears good fruit

I don't know what it is about Victorian homes, but it takes me back to an era I never lived

It's funny how nature can take something ugly and make it mesmerizing

the plant takes over the phone line like it's telling us to take a break and enjoy this life created for us

a perfect ending to the most perfect walk
